Recommended for light-weight-and-high-specs-seeking freaks !
(Posted on May 13, 2011)Review by HiraWhen I started looking for a laptop to buy , i had the following things in mind :
1. I wanted a high specs laptop, preferrably i5 or even i7 so that I could use heavy softwares like MATLAB and CS5 without having to experience the startup delays , good RAM (around 6GB), hard drive of around 500GB so that I could store stuff generously!!
2. Most importantly, I wanted it to be light-weight so that I could be comfortable carrying it around.BUT I didnt want the screen to be smaller than 14''.
3.Also, I really didnt want it to be Black in color !
I started off by looking for the lowest weight laptops. Most of them were with 13.3'' screen which gets very small, I finally shortlisted Dell Vostro , Sony Vaio and HP laptops which were 14'' and had weight below 4.4lb !! Then I looked into their specs and found HP DM4-1210 to have the BEST specs in the lowest price compared to Vostro and Sony Vaio.
So far, I am loving this Pavilion experience !! Its soundless, easy-to-carry, but I do however wish it had a longer battery life !
