hp g62 computer review
(Posted on March 1, 2011)Review by Muhammad Tahir BashirI have been using your “hp G62” for a few days now as my invoice number shows. There are certain
features that I love about this model and certain others that irritate me. I think it is a great opportunity
for me to share the features that I find most helpful and the features that I would love to see in an
updated and even better form.
When it comes to the features I like, let me say that I love your sidebar options. Clock, calendar, picture
slideshow, weather, I like all the options. But I think there is room for yet more useful gadgets like
converter, online dictionary & thesaurus as well as local and international newsfeeds.
And I really admire your display settings. The color quality, the option to choose my favorite theme in
my favorite color, the varied choice of themes ranging from nature to architecture etc. is just wonderful.
But I would like to have yet more options in desktop background like a wider variety of screensavers and
backgrounds.
Among the most useful inbuilt programs, I think magnifier and snipping tool rank high. The magnifier
has helped me read some documents previously difficult to decipher and the snipping tool has been
helpful in selecting and copying certain pieces of text that were previously not accessible to me without
internet. But I want to use snipping tool for clipping pictures too. So I think it would be great if you could
add options for frames and the snipped data should be available for editing. Talking about pictures, why
not add an inbuilt program for editing pictures and movies. That would be awesome, I think.
As for the task and menu bars, there are fine as they are but I would like to have tabs or options in the
menu to copy or move data to other sources and destinations.
Well, that’s as much as I could find in the short time since I have been using this computer. But
the problem that I immediately discovered after I started using this model is the MOUSE. It has no
boundary! When I drag the mouse to select large chunks of data, I simply move on and on without
realizing that my finger is outside the mouse boundary. No matter how ridiculous or hilarious it may
sound, but I am not the only geek facing this problem. My friends have tried their ‘finger’ here too and
they all face the same difficulty. So I have to resort to using portable USB mouse. Now this I think is a
major setback of this particular model. Laptops are meant for ease and mobility. AND I HAVE TO CARRY
EXTRA MOUSE!!!!! So could u do something about it? It might look good but it doesn’t work well.
That’s it from me. I hope my review has given you some food for thought and some new and interesting
features are fast coming.
Thank you for your offer to receive customer feedback.
